How
do navigation data find the way to your iPhone/iPad?
Use
a laptop or have an on-board computer, then your navigation
software is providing data.
For
example, OpenCPN defines an output port, which sends data via
TCP / IP over the wireless adapter to your iPhone.
Another
free program is Polarcom, where you can define a NMEA Out port.
Another
possibility is the wireless router from Digital Yacht WLN10
NMEA0183.
